Shopping on Anna Maria Island is convenient, diverse, and affordable, with most stores located in a pleasant setting in one of the three towns.
The City of AMI’s Pine Avenue serves as the main thoroughfare from bay to beach where charming family owned stores and cafes are housed in quaint Florida cottages. There’s only... "one"... small shopping center with novelty shops, island clothing and cute little ice cream parlor. Many artists reside in the area where nearby galleries sell their wares.
At the widest point and the center of the island is the City of Holmes Beach featuring restaurants, shops and the "only" grocery store on the island.
Bradenton Beach has great boutique shopping on historic Bridge Street with all sorts of cafes and eateries. The popular Bridge Street Market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. where local vendors offer fresh produce, flowers, plants, arts and crafts, T-shirts, clothing, jewelry and much, much more.

Off island, shopping is fantastic at the Red Barn Flea Market. You’ll find 80,000 square feet of air conditioned bargain hunting comfort and it’s open year round from 8:00 - 4:00, Friday, Saturday & Sunday and on Wednesdays from November through April. So if you’re looking for trinkets for your friends and family stuck up north, this is the place for you.
If art is your passion, Bradenton is home to the largest art community on the west coast. Called the Village of the Arts artists live, work and feed off the enthusiasm of others, in pursuit of their own expression. Watch steel heat and soften to flexible structural beauty.. like handrails, gates and sculptures. Including three cafes and restaurants, there are 35 galleries/studios and businesses offering handmade jewelry, pottery, furniture, paintings and much, much more.
At St. Armands Circle – it’s a world-class experience with over 100 distinctive shops, boutiques, galleries and sidewalk eateries while Sarasota’s Southgate Mall features Saks, Macy’s and Dillards.
Just north off Interstate 75 is Ellenton’s Outlet Mall. DKNY, Gap, Nike and Quicksilver are just a few of the 130 stores.
AND IF THAT’S NOT ENOUGH,,,
Tampa’s International Mall is just 30 minutes away where Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom’s hold anchor along with Louis Vuitton, Tiffany’s and over 200 other shops and restaurants! ALL housed under one roof!!!
ENJOY!
